POCO X9 Pro and X9 Pro Max have appeared in Xiaomi’s code. We know when they should hit Europe

Xiaomi is already preparing successors to POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max. New model numbers were found in Xiaomi’s system code (Mi Code). They point to POCO X9 Pro and POCO X9 Pro Max, which are said to have the same hardware as the Chinese Redmi Turbo 6 and Redmi Turbo 6 Max.

Xiaomi has not confirmed any of this yet. The leaked info doesn’t include specifications or prices—only code names, model numbers, and a list of markets. Still, there’s plenty we can figure out from them.

POCO X9 Pro and Redmi Turbo 6 are codenamed “sofia”

The first phone has the internal name sofia and the Q10 label. XimiTime found four model numbers for it: 2703BPC40G and 2703BPC40I with the POCO brand, 2703BRT40I and M407CF with the Redmi brand. On the global and Indian markets, it’s expected to be sold as POCO X9 Pro. In China and in India, it should be sold as Redmi Turbo 6.

In these codes, Xiaomi uses established letters. “P” stands for POCO, “R” for the Redmi brand, the ending “G” for the global version, and “I” for the Indian one. The same thing worked last time as well, when we figured out from code 2511FPC34G that the POCO X8 Pro will be the global version of Redmi Turbo 5. We don’t know yet how the different regional versions of POCO X9 Pro will differ.

The Max model is codenamed denver

The second phone carries the name denver and the Q10U label. Its model numbers are 27011RT78I, 27011PC78I, and 27011PC78G. Outside of China, it will become POCO X9 Pro Max, while China will receive it as Redmi Turbo 6 Max. The Chinese model number for Turbo 6 Max is still missing from the leak.

The current POCO X8 Pro Max is based on Redmi Turbo 5 Max. It has an 8,550 mAh battery, the Dimensity 9500s chipset, and 100 W charging. The base X8 Pro got Dimensity 8500-Ultra and a 6,500 mAh battery. The leak doesn’t reveal what the successors will be based on.

Europe is also among the markets

According to Mi Code, both new devices are set to arrive on nine markets. Along with the global version, the list includes the European Economic Area, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Russia, Japan, and China. XimiTime notes that these are code-planned markets—not a confirmed schedule.

The first four digits in Xiaomi’s model number indicate the year and month. Codes 2701 and 2703 therefore point to January and March 2027. Sales should start between January and March 2027. However, the date in the code is only indicative. The POCO X8 Pro code started with 2511, which is November 2025. But they introduced it globally only in March 2026.

In India, one phone will be sold under two brands

The strangest part will be in India. According to the portal 91mobiles, Redmi Turbo 5 started being sold there in June 2026 via Amazon, alongside the POCO X8 Pro. For the new generation, Xiaomi plans to do the same. So the Indian customer will be able to choose between Redmi Turbo 6 and POCO X9 Pro, even though it’s the same phone.

In China, the Redmi Turbo names will remain, while in the rest of the world it will be POCO X. However, Xiaomi may still change the final naming for each country.

POCO X9 Pro in Slovakia

You can buy the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max today from European warehouses—we regularly add coupons for them. A leaked report also mentions a European market, so the POCO X9 Pro should arrive here the same way. Just be careful about differences between the versions. In Europe, the POCO F7 got a smaller battery than the Chinese Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with 7,550 mAh. Only the official specs will tell whether the same happens with the X9 Pro.
